Pylontech Batteries

Battery Systems

Pylontech US2000, US3000 and US5000 48V (15S) battery storage systems for stationary use based on lithium-iron-phosphate (LiFePO4) technology.

Lithium-iron-phosphate batteries are thermally stable (no thermal runaway).

Different models can also be combined. But make sure that the biggest and newest system (on same models) is used as master. When interconnected, the devices should have approximately the same state of charge and when combining USxxxB and USxxxC systems, the USxxxB have to be on position 2-8.

The storage systems contain a battery management system (BMS) with protections against over/under voltage and over current. There are multiple levels of these protections and the last level protection permanently disables the device by actively tripping fuses. The respective fuses can only be repaired by the Pylontech Service. The maximum charge voltage of 53.5V (15 cells) and the maximum peak current of the system must not be exceeded.

To ensure that the battery system is optimally charged and discharged, a communication (RS485 or CAN) with the charger/inverter is recommended and the charging voltage should not be set above 52.5V without communication.
